The Dutch system of public libraries on a specific example

(in English) This bachelor's thesis deals with the systems of public libraries in the Netherlands and the Czech Republic. The system description considers legal framework, way to finance and description of libraries' system structures. General system description is completed with the analysis of particular libraries. Public libraries in Dronten and in Vsetín are mainly described according to the scope of their collections, number of readers and their offer of services. Both systems and both libraries are compared to each other, with the consideration of their differences in system structure and current library laws. The compartment of libraries in Dronten and in Vsetín is completed with a description of their national system's influence on their general operation.
